Introductions: I’m Suzie, an ex-Primary School teacher and born wanderer. I have trouble keeping still and love to explore. I’m afraid of heights and spiders (who isn’t), I love a good book or film (and have no shame in admitting that I still go to the cinema whilst I travel). I suffer from severe anxiety, so seem like the most unlikely person to want to travel, and yet it is the time when I am travelling that I feel least anxious! I pull faces when people take pictures of me, love fancy dress and sometimes I dye my hair in different colours. I am a huge history nerd (although never studied history at school) and have an obsession with religious architecture. I love night time photography, although I have no idea how to actually do it myself, and am always looking for new recipes to try – because food is yum! And I know that if I could spend the rest of my life travelling, I would always be happy.

It was a huge decision for us to give up our jobs to spend our lives travelling, there was lots of saving, planning and prepping to be done – and although the decision to do it might have been instant, it wasn’t quite as quick to get going. In fact, Sam and I had discussed the idea of it for over 6 years before we took the plunge!

I’ve been lucky enough to travel quite regularly throughout my adult life, and have found the prefect travel companion in my husband, Sam. We both have the same sense of adventure and love for life on the road. It might be easy to get around the globe now, but the world is still huge and there is aways something to see and do that we have never done before.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog! I’ve never actually been hitch-hiking, but if I ever build up the courage to try I’ll come to you for advice and a write up! S x

Thank you for sharing Suzie!!!! What a great read about Norway & Oslo – one thing tells me I’ll be travelling there again in warmer climates!!! 🙂 xx

Norway was honestly one of the best countries I’ve travelled around – and really easy to do in a camper as there are stops every couple of miles. Enjoy your trip, and fingers crossed for a good northern lights show on New Years Eve!
